My Photos Aren't Good Enough!

Is It Good Enough?
As photographers, we all come to a point where we just don't think our work is good enough anymore. This isn't because our shots suck "usually", it's because we've just become so critical of our own work that we aren't pleased with the results we're seeing. This is a very crucial point for any photographer. This is the point where some just give up and put their camera down; whether it be for months, years, or even for good. But this is also when it's most important to go out and keep shooting, to keep pushing yourself to reach that next level. This is that moment when a photographer begins to define themselves and their style. It's the moment when you begin to set yourself apart from all the other people out there walking around with a camera.

Zack Arias is a role model of mine. He's an amazing photographer and an inspiration with portrait lighting. But even
he goes through this feeling that his work just isn't good enough. In-fact, he describes it as something that happens every single winter. But he takes that opportunity to try to redefine himself as a photographer and to better himself in whatever way that he can.

If you ever feel this way, like you're just not good enough and you don't know what to do next, take a look at this video by Zack. It helps me when I'm feeling down about my own work, and I hope it helps you to push forward as well.

Out of the whole video, I think this is one of the most important quotes to take from it.
"Every photographer in all of history was a horrible photographer for some period of time. They learned, they grew. They had dark days, they persevered. That is the way of the artist. Just be patient, keep on going. Transformation takes time, and from what I've seen, it really is worth the wait."
